How it all started

Hi, my name is Matt Bellah. I’m from Port Townsend and I’ve lived in Port Angeles since 2022. I work in the pest control industry. In the course of my profession, I encounter people living in unacceptable circumstances. Usually these are elderly folks, living alone with no family support, but these conditions cross all bounds. In the context of my profession, I cannot help. There’s nothing I can do to bait rats away from real food and garbage. So I had to say: “I’m sorry, I can’t help you.” I got tired of saying no.

To perform the basic cleanout services where pest control can be done, a lot of work needs to happen. I looked for a volunteer service like this in my community, and found none. So I started one. I’ve built a network of people who fill the needs of these jobs. I have experience, and I’m willing to help. I take no money for this work.
